Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), which includes a number of U.S.

Army health clinics, occupational health clinics, telemedicine, behavioral health, allergen extract lab, drug testing labs and environmental health clinics at several other installations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and District of Columbia.

Responsibilities: As a Clinical Psychologist at Fort Meade, you will:Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.Assess acute mental health conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic effort and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.

Qualifications: US CitizenThree year experience as a Clinical Psychologist preferred.Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.

or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.Must have a permanent, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or a territory of the U.S.Candidates must have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification.

Current Advanced Life Support of other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.Experience with military medicine preferred.
