Here you’ll work in Medical Surgical Areas delivering excellent care to our patients in collaboration with our world-class nursing staff.
Both day and night shifts are available.
You will be required to work every other weekend and some holidays.As a Clinical Partner you will assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for the specialty patient population.Under the direction a licensed care giver, and after education and demonstration of competency, performs a variety of direct patient care activities or tasks specific to the unit/needs of the patient population.In this role you will: Assist patients with activities such as eating, walking and personal hygiene.
Record and report vital signs Dispense/retrieve bedpans, and remove urinary catheters.
Perform procedures such as dispensing/retrieving bedpans, using skin care products/pressure relieving devices and applying anti-embolic hose.
Report observations and outcomes of activities performed.
Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills when working with customers, and take responsibility for handling problems or complaints.
Support team effort by completing assignments in a timely manner.
Maintain a productive and harmonious work environment, following safety standards and maintaining competency requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to function in a fast paced, high-volume team environment with frequent interruptions.
Improve the accuracy of patient identification by using two identifiers when transporting patient between units/departments.
Reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls by observing patient for risk of falling and taking action to prevent patient falls.
Help prevent health care acquired infection by following current CDC hand washing guidelines and Cedars-Sinai isolation policy Maintain competency skills in providing care for special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Identify safety concerns in the age-related population and institute additional measures to provide a safe environment; additionally, you’ll identify developmental milestones in the age-related population.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Full command of the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient to carry out the duties identified in this job description.
Knowledge of therapeutic positioning techniques preferred.License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) Approved by the American Heart Association Certified Nursing Assistant Certification RequiredExperience: 1 year in an Acute/Subacute/Convalescent/Nursing homes
