Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a trusted clinical resource who identifies opportunities to create awareness across the Hematology and CAR T portfolio; and provides high impact patient safety and management related product education to peer clinician HCPs.

As Subject Matter Experts, CNCs leverage their clinical, presentation and communication expertise to educate customers in academic centers of excellence, community practices, and Patient Support Groups (PSG).

The CNC role is field-based, and most of the time is spent in the field, with external peer HCP customers.

Each Hematology CNC has a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree and has functioned as a registered nurse (RN) or an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivering direct patient care to Hematology Oncology patients.

This position covers the Coastal California territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Patient Safety & Management Education to Support Best in Class Product and CAR T Launches

  • Present in-depth disease state and treatment education to support understanding of CAR T therapy, the immune system, and hematologic malignancies through in-person or virtual, 1:1 and group interactions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with peer HCP thought leaders, other Hematology HCP stakeholders and PSG leaders

  • Creating awareness across CAR T and the Hematology continuum for HCPs, Patients and Caregivers

  • Collect and share clinical insights and patient management experiences with internal partners to support Franchise strategy

  • Understand and continuously assess the healthcare landscape

  • Utilize analytics to develop CNC Clinical Education Plans for HCPs and Patient education

  • Evaluate the Effectiveness of CNC Clinical Education Interactions.

    Respond and shift quickly to bridge any gaps, supporting new and ongoing educational needs

  • Effective and efficient internal partner coordination

  • Provide clinical support and presentations at professional society meetings (e.g.

    ONS, JADPRO, AONN)

Qualifications:

  • BSN required; MSN, or other advanced nursing degree (NP, APRN, DNP) preferred

  • Hematology Oncology Clinical experience in hospital or clinic setting: 5 years minimum

  • Nurse Educator experience within the bio/pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Current active nursing license

Experience Required:

  • Technical depth within Hematology, Oncology and CAR T include AML, Lymphoma, MDS, MF, and MM

  • Possess expertise within the hematology oncology landscape

  • Direct patient management experience

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; able to author content; translate and communicate technical/scientific concepts

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills

  • Must have the ability to work nights & weekends as needed

  • The position may involve travel of around 50%

  • Ability to drive a company-provided car is an essential qualification of this position.

    Candidates must possess a high level of ethics, integrity, and a responsible and safe driving history

  • Collaborative abilities: experience leading and or working on cross-functional teams, coordinating internal resources to share information, develop and execute plans

  • Demonstrate drive, initiative, and willingness to work with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate and apply data to analyze issues and inform decision making

  • Presentation platform skills: ability to present with confidence to groups of all sizes

  • Experience and relationships with health care providers within assigned geography
