– 4:30pmJob Duties/Responsibilities:This position will focus on viral marker testingDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresAssist with process and method validation for 5 different analyzers and 10 new assaysParticipate in quality and training activitiesMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related scienceCalifornia CLS license is requiredMinimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing in CLS capacity experience is requiredWorking knowledge of Viral Markers Testing, clinical chemistry and Immunohematology is a plusStrong analytical and problem solving skills are highly desirableAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plusHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screenFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsIf you’re looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Shift1ScheduleMon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
