Responsibilities
The CNRC Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for assisting clinical faculty in enrolling patients for various research projects conducted through the CNRC at the Neurology Outpatient Clinic and other hospitals or clinics throughout the UCLA Health System.

Duties will include but are not limited to: appointment reminders for the clinic, obtaining informed consent, answering questions regarding research studies and consent procedures, arranging biospecimen sample collections as appropriate either by scheduling a research blood draw or performing the phlebotomy as needed, assist in developing, monitoring, and coordinating workflows and schedules, and guiding patients to appointments/procedures if necessary.

Clinical Research Coordinators are an integral part of both the Neurology clinic staff and the CNRC research team and contribute to the management of diverse aspects.

Some of these aspects include appointment reminders for patients, optimization of clinic and operational workflows when coordinating with research in the Neurology department, and working collaboratively with the team to create a patient-centered and administratively effective environment for clinical research.
