We provide our team members with the environment and support to do amazing work, because each and every one of them plays a vital role in our commitment to care.nn nn Job Duties nn nn Job Qualifications nn nn Responsibilities nnUnder the general direction of the Clinical Director, Treatment Operations Manager, Chief of Clinical Physics, and Medical Director, the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist supervises the technical operation of the Radiation Oncology Department, including external beam treatment, brachytherapy (if applicable), CT/MR simulator, and simulations.

Major responsibilities include: supervise therapists and student trainees; oversee the development and monitoring of a quality assurance program; supervise patient scheduling and problem resolution; oversee treatment machine staffing and operation, treatment planning and dose calculation; and supervise the performance of a wide variety of technical therapeutic procedures involving the application of ionizing radiation according to MD’s prescription.

The person also is responsible for administrative duties including, participating in the department performance improvement initiatives, working with the billing team, external beam scheduling, chart rounds, supervision of radiation therapy technologist staff, other administrative duties as necessary, etc.
