: Cardiology Physician

Based at: Los Angeles, CA.

Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable Cardiologist to be responsible for providing general cardiology consultative services for cardiac catherization and interventional cardiology procedures, including, but not limited pericardiocentesis, endocardial biopsies, placement of intra-aortic balloon devices, and percutaneous revascularization procedures, including: balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, endoluminal stenting, intravascular ultrasound, intra-coronary Doppler flow velocity measurements, rhyolitic thrombectomy, and management of patients prior to, during, and following their percutaneous revascularization procedure, high risk coronary and peripheral vascular percutaneous procedures.

Requirements

: The Candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • A current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).
  • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • EHR certification.
  • A current Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • OIG Certification.
  • Nation Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • A current DEA certificate.
  • Experience:
  • Current and previous experience in providing Cardiology Physician services.
  • Physician must have been practicing medical Retina ophthalmic care within the last 12 months.
  • Language:
  • The ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
  • Special requirement:
  • Must include three (3) references (name, address, capacity, telephone) in the resume, including the current or last supervisor.

Duties: The Cardiology Physician will undertake the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Diagnose and treat disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system.
  • Perform patient exams and order or conduct diagnostic testing.
  • Develop ongoing treatment and disease-management plans.
  • Prescribe medicine and coordinate referrals as necessary.
  • Conduct early-detection screenings.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and charts.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and administration.
  • Assess new patients via a medical interview
  • Order test to confirm suspected conditions
  • Diagnose patients via lab and test results
  • Design a treatment plan for all patients
  • Coordinate with patients PCP and Surgeon
  • Provide ongoing care and checkups on all patients
  • Pursue ongoing and continuing education to stay on top of the latest research findings
