A Bright Future, Inc. is a private organization head quartered in American Canyon, California specializing in providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the Northern California. A Bright Future, Inc.s independent and supported living programs provide services to consumers by teaching a wide array of goals that foster and create independence. The programs provides our participants the opportunity to work in collaboration with A Bright Future instructor to establish their own goals and objectives. Every three months, those goals are measured and observed by the participant and their support team.

We all share a “Let’s find the solution!” team attitude to ensure continued growth and prosperity. Description: Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. + Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing + Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying + Helping plan client appointments and organize a schedule + Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments + Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs + Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities Requirements: + Must be at least 18 years of age. + Must have BHT and show proof at interview + Must have valid drivers license and clean DMV record + CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained within 30 days of employment. + TB clearance within 30 days of employment. + Department of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment). + Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening (prior to employment). + IHSS provider certification in the county(s) of placement within 30 days of employment. + Prefer behavioral training, knowledge of Regional Center System servicing developmentally disabled. + Referrals from previous employment necessary. + Willingness to update any and all personnel certifications, clearances, and reports as required by agency policy or licensing/Regional Center Requirements.
Physical Requirements: + While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to talk and hear; regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach within arms length; lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds; possess visual acuity; and possibly drive during their assigned work shift.
