The USC Keck School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics at LAC+USC Medical Center is seeking a qualified candidate for a full time faculty position as Neonatologist with the Division of Neonatology.

Our well established academic program in Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics, LAC+USC Medical Center, Keck School of Medicine of USC, Los Angeles, California is seeking candidates for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Clinician Educator track.

We have one of the largest and well-known Neonatal Perinatal Medicine Fellowship programs in the Country with 18 fellows, and an active Maternal-Fetal Center including fetal surgery.

Our joint USC/LAC+USC Neonatology Fellowship program with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles provides our trainees with the unique opportunity to experience the best of two exceptional institutions.

Our center is also known for functional echocardiography program established more than 20 years ago.

Active areas of research include pulmonary biology in our molecular biology laboratory, non-invasive ventilation, surfactant therapy, fetal concerns, and epidemiology/outcomes.

Duties include patient care activities in our 40 bed Level III NICU at LAC+USC Medical Center and 23 bed Level II unit at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, teaching fellows, residents and medical students.

The environment provides strong mentorship for junior candidates interested in clinical, translational or basic research.

Requirements are board certification/eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Medical Licensure in California, and evidence of promise for an academic career.

Applicants with special training or experience with Functional Echocardiography and expertise with Neonatal hemodynamics are preferable.
