An exciting opportunity is now available for an Assistant Nurse Manager of Surgical Services at a 400 bed Southern California Medical Center.
The Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical Services will be responsible to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided for the Perioperative department that is guided by the mission of the hospital. The Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical Services will report directly to the Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services, and will be supported by Educators and Charge Nurses.
The Nurse Supervisor of Perioperative Services will have twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative Services.
The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in high ranges. The Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards.
The Medical Center has 20 operating rooms and annually perform just over 10,100 inpatient and 9,500 outpatient Surgical Procedures, including 2700 total joints and over 900 cardiovascular procedures. The Medical Center has a very robust Orthopedic and Cardiovascular Program, and they see a high number of patients suffering from related illnesses and injuries. This Trauma Center performs many Total Joints, Neuo Spine, general Orthopedics, and many Trauma/ER cases.
