Position SummaryAffini-T Therapeutics is announcing a Scientist, TCR Discovery, opportunity at their Seattle, WA location.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDesign, execute and critically analyze in vitro experiments to develop and characterize TCR-engineered T cell therapy productsAble to independently manage their workload, design and perform bench activities independently or with minimal supervisionAble to manage project timelines and perform time sensitive experiments to drive discovery programs accordingly with departmental, functional and external stakeholdersApply recent developments in cell therapy-related novel technologies to design and create the next generation cell therapy platformsPlan and implement resolutions to technical problems/issuesServe as a technical resource for junior staff and leverage expertise in laboratory technology as a functional resource/trainerContribute significantly and independently to multiple projects executed in parallelShare biology lab operation, equipment and cell bank maintenance responsibilitiesAccountable for the development of culture and capabilities within the TCR Discovery teamDesired And Required QualificationsEducation and Experience:B.S./ M.S./Ph.D in biology with relevant industry experience (title commensurate with experience)Expertise in mouse and human T cell isolation, culture, engineering and complex cell-based assays for functional characterizationAble to troubleshoot critical issues or problems, and determine causes and possible solutionsSubject matter expertise and knowledge of applicable lab equipment and operationsExercises good time management and prioritization skills and can successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work well in a highly cross-functional team environmentIs very comfortable working with his/her team members in the laboratoryIs highly creative, collaborative, and thrives in a dynamic matrix environmentProven skills as an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within and outside the companyExcellent oral and written communication skills, including writing, reviewing and editing scientific documents and presenting to a range of stakeholders, as well as scientific posters or lectures at professional conferences or eventsFit with Affini-T core values, mission and vision, including the highest personal values and ethical standards, creating a culture that fosters innovationPossess the right attitude (agile, curious, positive, open-minded, “can-do” mindset), and have the ability and strong desire to “make things happen”Physical RequirementsSit for extended periods of time (2 or more hours)Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kgPowered by JazzHRFNb9tn65dh
