Coordinates multi-facility elective or urgent admissions, and transfers within the UCLA Health System, under the supervision of the CNM and Unit Director . Excellent communication skills in collaborating with referring and accepting Physicians, Executive Management, Patient and Guest Services and hospital support systems. Develop expertise in working with the automated UCLA CareConnect EPIC EHR bed management system. Works collaboratively in the organization with management and Nursing leadership to create a systematic approach to bed management that creates a positive patient experience. Develops a working relationship with the lead staffer to and assists in prospective staffing needs based on scheduled as well as anticipated needs for each service.
BSN or MSN required.
3 years of acute care nursing experience required.
CA RN license and BLS required
Prefer candidate with clinical experience in the Orthopedic setting and administrative experience.
Expertise and knowledge to manage high census alerts, demonstrating the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking in decision making capacities.
Ability to communicate effectively to with all members of a multidisciplinary team.
Able to work in a highly stimulating environment requiring flexibility and ability to work with changes that occur with frequency within the placement of patients.
