Responsibilities

Joina collaborative, comprehensive team with our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit andDefinitive Observation Unit.

As an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner onthis service, U can make a difference in our patient and families lives!

The Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide and coordinate the care ofpatients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care.The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provideseducation and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.

Will Consider New Graduate NPs
– NPIless than 6 months experience.NPIIIis designated as an expert resource within the specialization or clinicalexperience.
Qualifications

Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in nurse practitioner program with a specialty in Pediatrics, Acute Care
– Required CA RN and NP license
– Required National Certification in Nurse Practitioner Specialty, PACNP or ACPNP
– Required BLS and PALS
– Required Ability to work in both the PICU and DOU New Grad NPs with a minimum of five years experience as PICU RN-Required Experienced Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
– Strongly Preferred Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative,clinical and academic personnel Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions
