We are committed to providing the best nursing, therapeutic services and social supports to the patients and community we serve.We have an immediate opportunity for a HOME HEALTH SERVICES AUTHORIZATION COORDINATOR to join our clinical operations team at our corporate office in Woodland Hills.Primary responsibilities include:Processes incoming treatment and referral authorization requests and verifies plan eligibilityContacting providers and requesting additional information for review based on Prior Authorization requirement protocolsVerifying member plan eligibility, with subsequent notification to staff regarding eligibility issuesLocate authorization status and history, as requiredProviding effective departmental communication, internally and externallyReview authorization requests for completeness and appropriatenessScanning, reviewing and working with electronic images as part of the processThe ideal candidate will have experience working with a large number of health plans and medical groups (ideally in Los Angeles County), will have a working knowledge of medical terminology and billing code procedures, and will be able to interpret, explain and apply processes, policies and procedures relevant to the position.
The ideal candidate will also be proficient in relevant software applications and ability to access relevant information from website portals.
