Our team is seeking a highly motivated Scientist with experience in biochemistry, cell and/or molecular biology training and experience.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in the immunotherapy drug discovery process from clinical candidate nomination to regulatory filing with the FDA.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead projects to develop or support adoptive T therapy for oncology with minimum supervision.Design and execute experiments to develop autologous and allogeneic T cells therapies; develop and optimize technologies and assays as needed.Perform essential experiments, including molecular cloning, tissue culture, FACS, binding and functional assays to advance critical projects.Provide strategic experiment planning, data interpretation, summarization, and presentation with minimum supervision.Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant literature.Make significant contributions toward publications.Present findings at internal and external seminars/meetings.Career Development Opportunities:In addition to A2’s competitive compensation and benefits package, this position will provide you with a unique opportunity to build your career in drug discovery:You will be trained and developed to be proficient in leading immune-oncology or technology development projects from conception to implementation.You will gain exposure and experience in supporting and leading tasks that meet FDA regulatory requirements for cell therapy.You will have the opportunity to lead and participate in cross functional collaborations and be exposed to other areas inside or outside A2’s scientific community.You will have opportunities to lead and participate in external scientific presentations and journal publications.You will have opportunities to progress as a research scientist as well as explore other career paths within drug discovery and development.RequirementsBasic Qualifications:PhD in biochemistry, biology or related discipline with demonstrated relevant experience to carry out responsibilities of position.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.Experience in cell and molecular biology including genome editing technologies (e.G.

CRISPR) is highly desirable.Experience in culturing, engineering, and characterization of immortalized cell lines, molecular cloning, protein engineering and NGS.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and utilize cutting edge technologies to overcome challenges in developing next generation adoptive T-cell therapies.Strong track record of critical thinking and scientific achievement as demonstrated by publications in highly regarded scientific journals.Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic team player demonstrating flexibility and a sense of urgency.Ability to multitask while paying attention to timelines and priorities and utilize resources efficiently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a collaborative work environment.BenefitsAt A2 Bio, every member of staff plays a critical role in ensuring we deliver on our mission.
