Medical Scribe
Job Summary:
The Program Assistant/Medical Scribe provides support to the physician to ensure an accurate and complete documentation in the medical record for the patient visit.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities List the primary duties and responsibilities in order of most significance.
Accompany the physician during the patient encounter.
Transcribe the physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical, surgical, family, and social histories, medication, and allergies.
Transcribe the physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician.
Transcribe the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as directed by the physician.
Transcribe patient education and explanations of risks and benefits as performed by the physician. Pend orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as directed by the physician.
Transcribe all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the physician.
Prepare and edit scribed document for physician review and signature.
Perform other duties as assigned. Location: 11800 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90025 and 1919 Santa Monica Blvd Suite 400, Santa Monica, 90404

Shift: 830-5:00pm with 30 min lunch Schedule: Mon-Friday Interview Type: Phone/Teams
Start Date: ASAP End Date/Contract Length: Preferred Qualifications: BLS, EPIC experience required, 2 years of medical scribing in a MD office practice or hospital setting. Oncology experience highly preferred. Potential temp to hire.
