As a Nurse (RN) with our Med-Surg-5 West or 5 Central unit, you will care for patients ages 14 years and up, with conditions ranging from general acute medical, to surgical patients with different illnesses and comorbidities. A nurse in this position is trained and competent in caring for patients in a variety of areas including: orthopedic, trauma, and other medical health issues.
You will be encouraged to advance through our Career Ladder program, and our unit leadership will support you achieving this goal. In addition, we encourage our nurses to become nationally certified through the Medical Surgical Board and/or the American Nurses Association and certification fees are eligible for reimbursement after achieving certification. All of our 12 unit supervisors are Nationally certified in Orthopedics and/or Medical Surgical and 35% of our RNs are Nationally certified. Your growth will be supported whether you want to focus within our unit, or advance into another unit in any of our facilities.

Our team has a broad knowledge base and pride ourselves in being experts in providing care to a variety of medical issues, including caring for patients who are preparing and recovering from surgery. This means we coordinate and collaborate with all providers in touch with a patient, thus ensuring continuity of care throughout their hospitalization up to when they are at home. Our Central unit is a 28-bed unit and 5 West is a 52-bed unit; both are expert in caring for patients with Covid-19 diagnosis.Qualifications:Qualifications
Experience and education minimum requirements
- Graduate of from approved, accredited registered nursing program
Licenses and certifications
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS certification
- Basic Arrythmia must be obtained 6 months of hire or transfer into job
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire or transfer into job
