n n nn The Global Government Affairs Senior Manager will work collaboratively with the Corporate and North America government affairs team and lead various internal projects, initiatives, and engagements with broad external communities to shape external environment for the business to thrive and build corporate reputation.
This position liaises closely with regional teams to identify potential regulatory and reputational challenges and opportunities that impact multiple regions, leads initiatives and builds tools that regions can use to advance aims and objectives of the department.
This position will develop plans, initiate building meaningful relationships and take the lead on North America thought leadership engagement activities to further business objectives and work with cross-functional team to create messaging, content and assets used externally.
In addition, this role will represent the company at external meetings with lawmakers and their staff, trade associations and external partners as well as communicate with internal colleagues to align on the company’s position.
This position will report to the Senior Director.
nn nn How you would contribute: nn nn Anticipate, monitor, track, and analyze policies, legislations, regulations, and ESG standards impacting the business operation and reputation (e.g.
product, channel of distribution, sustainability, etc.) and lead projects to mitigate for issues which could represent business risk nn nn Develop issues management system by working with internal and external partners nn nn Lead the development of toolkit for various public-private partnership programs and advocacy programs (e.g.
Health Cities Initiative) that can be rolled out globally by working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams and external partners nn nn Lead the planning and execution key external engagements with thought leaders (e.g.
scientific and public health conferences) with minimal direction nn nn Develop and maintain an effective partner outreach program, working with subject matter authorities from across the business to strategically engage associations, influencers, public policymakers and thought leadership communities.
Maintain a network of relationships with lawmakers and staff, trade associations, industry representatives, and external partners in the thought leadership community nn nn Manage and ensure international and North America trade and membership associations and organizations are delivering value against Herbalife Nutrition’s strategic initiatives and goals by providing directional guidance to internal partners and assessing external partners nn nn Collaborate extensively with US and international government affairs teams and develop assets needed to improve awareness and reputation of the company to thought leadership audience with approved messages nn nn Support the development of our messaging, position, response, content, and various assets (e.g.
briefing materials, factsheets, etc.) for effective and high-impact communication with external partners by working with cross-functional teams nn nn Represent the department in meetings with Corporate Communications team on effective distribution of developed contents to KOLs.
Support the development and organization of KOL contacts for targeted communication and engagement nn nn Be part of key working groups with appropriate trade and membership associations nn nn Assist in content development and creation for internal partners to share updates on key projects and programs and maintain the team’s intranet site nn nn Coordinate the PAC newsletter for Herbalife Nutrition Political Action Committee nn nn Collaborate with organizational teams to align on priorities and company initiatives nn nn Perform additional duties as assigned nn nnApproximately 25% travelnn nn Skills and background required to be successful: nn nn Skills: nn nn Must be organized, multi-task oriented, creative, and proactive nn nn Proven ability to effectively work independently or as a team member, and to follow through on assignments with minimal direction nn nn Ability to function as a strong team member and build positive relationships, both internally and externally nn nn Demonstrated ability to effectively lead projects and coordinate events involving multiple internal and external partners nn nn Ability to quickly research and analyze highly complicated and technical information and summarize in an organized manner nn nn Ability to write and edit clear, detailed and grammatically correct documents and correspondence with speed and accuracy nn nn Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally and the ability to operate at all levels within an organization nn nn Must have high level of attention to detail and strong time management skills by establishing priorities nn nn Proficient at working in a technical environment.
