Program Manager, Communications and Public Affairs

As a Program Manager for Operations & Planning on the Communications and Public Affairs team you will get the opportunity to hone your organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and program management skills, all while leading key processes and operations that empower the Comms and Public Affairs team. This includes supporting the team with setting direction and strategy through our planning cycles, ensuring that key reporting and processes are completed, supporting leaders with regular strategy meetings, and helping to create a joined-up Marcom way of working.

The person taking on this role will need to have excellent project and program management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, and be able to communicate complex issues in a clear and easy-to-understand way. As an ideal candidate, you will have a strong bias for action, have experience of working with leadership, an understanding of how to create good strategy, and be able to work effectively and influence cross-functionally.Program Manager, Communications and Public Affairs Responsibilities

  • Communicate with leadership on a regular basis, highlighting progress towards goals, key risks and dependencies
  • Support leaders across the org to track and evaluate work, understand issues, and support them to resolve them
  • Support leaders to prepare for leadership strategy meetings, including preparing slides, first drafts of content, and identifying key issues for consideration
  • Support leaders across the org to cascade information, be responsible for closing the loop and driving leadership decisions through the org
  • Lead and support change-management efforts as needed, be a leader on new processes and operations
  • Support annual and half strategic planning but acting as the POC for all planning questions, processes and information cascade for your designated areas
  • Drive your teams to deliver comprehensive plans, on time, that are strategically aligned to the north star mission and goals of the org
  • Integrate with Marketing to drive joined-up MarCom plans for applicable areas
  • Summarize plans for leadership review, support teams to prepare for leadership presentations and reviews, and ensure that all feedback is captured and acted upon
  • Liaise with other key Strategy and Insights teams, including the Company Calendar team and Insights team, to be their eyes, ears and voice across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, adaptable, and delivering impactful results in a highly organized manner
  • At ease working with and presenting to senior leadership. Being firm with requests and ensuring follow through
  • A curiosity surrounding our comms & public affairs ecosystem and an experience applying this awareness to connect the dots with the work we do globally
  • Proficient with slide creation and design, and proven excel and analytical skills
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, and/or project/program management
  • Experience working cross-functionally, and using influence to drive projects to success
  • Experience with operations and project management
  • Consultancy and change management experience across a range of projects and industries
  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Policy, Communications, International Studies, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating closely with teams outside of the U.S.
  • Experience working on or closely with comms, research, legal, policy, product, and marketing teams. Ideally, working on campaign-style efforts
  • Experience working in complex, highly pressurized, fast paced environments

$136,000/year to $194,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
