The Los Angeles Office of Hanson Bridgett is seeking an attorney with 5 or more years of experience in government and environmental issues, especially water. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactions, advice & counsel, and litigation work for public or private clients, including water rights. Prior work for a government agency or in a communications field is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience with at least some of the following: CEQA, Brown Act, Clean Water Act, water rights, eminent domain, legislative drafting, infrastructure, (state and/or local) government procurement, construction, prevailing wage, real estate, public finance, and Government Claims Act. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a partner and be part of a team with an energetic practice spanning the state of California. We are looking for an ambitious team player with a positive, can-do attitude. Humility and a sense of humor required.
While we offer the ability to work remotely in an agile (hybrid) manner, this position will be expected to work alongside senior attorneys in Hanson Bridgett’s Los Angeles office approximately 3-4 days a week.
Ideal candidates will also have a distinguished academic background and impeccable references. CA Bar required. Strong research, writing and communication skills, high level of analytical skills as well as excellent and highly adaptable communication skills are required. We seek intelligent, entrepreneurial, team players who are practical, problem solvers, ambitious, organized and detail oriented and are looking towards partnership with Hanson Bridgett.

Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of experience and professional skills required for this role.
