Marketing & Public Relations Manager

MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering and executing the Communications, Digital and Marketing strategy for all departments within the hotel (accommodation, spa, sales, food & beverage), managing the hotel’s offline and online presence and executing results driven campaigns to nurture its brand awareness and positively impact revenue goals.

    What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    – Manage content creation of print and digital materials including guest facing messaging, sales tools and collateral, digital marketing assets and email marketing initiatives.
    – Organize and oversee all brand marketing and digital content, including photo and video shoots.
    – Brainstorm, develop and execute new ideas and promotional campaign in food & beverage, wedding, events, meetings, rooms and other to garner revenue.
    – In partnership with the Director of Sales & Marketing, develop social and digital strategies that drive growth and engagement.
    – Manage all property social media channels (hotel and food & beverage outlet) creating relevant and engaging content and leading community management initiatives across multiple platforms.
    – Curate and produce interactive, external-facing content across all digital and social mediums with strong narratives that bring to life the hotel and the brand messaging.
    – Develop strategic influencer strategy, identifying and coordinating local, regional and national influencer partnerships to amplify social awareness
    – Build, audit, optimize and maintain hotel’s brand website and microsite and third party websites (OTA and other) ensuring they have accurate and up-to-date content, aligned with the hotel’s positioning and business objectives.
    – Manage the hotels email marketing strategy targeting B2B and B2C audiences to drive revenue and develop loyal customers both for the hotel and its outlets.
    – Coordinate media visits and tours, filming opportunities and press events and initiatives along with the sales and catering team
    – Maintain media and influencer lists, photo and video libraries and coverage reports.
    – Expand key relationships with media, Public Relations partners, Advertising Agencies, other appropriate connections
    – Assist in the development and execution of the hotels’ yearly communications plan
    – Develop press release concepts that are creative yet informative in copy and style to maximize and capture coverage from journalists/editors
    – Develop opportunities for sponsorships, partnerships that will enhance and support branding, thus maximizing market penetration and exposure through endorsement by third parties.

Your experience and skills include:

    – Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field preferred
    – 2 – 4 years experience in digital marketing/communications, including social media
    – Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
    – Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    – Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal, presentation and written communications, experienced in writing engaging social content
    – Excellent knowledge of paid social media strategies, social media software tools and Google Analytics (certification helpful, but not required)
    – Ability to plan, manage and execute multiple projects, while communicating with key stakeholders
    – Ability to build strong relationships, and interact at all levels
    – Must be results oriented with ability to be flexible, organized and able to work well under pressure as well as a team player with proven leadership ability and positive attitude.
    – Curious and creative leader and thinker with a solutions-oriented, problem-solver mentality and ability to think “outside of the box”
