VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations

Our client in Los Angeles, CA is a mid-size company that is very culture focused and they’re seeking a highly technical VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations to drive the strategic vision, implementation, and management of their IT solutions across the company.

This role is remote right now but they have plans to “return to work” come September but will allow 2-3 days remote per week at that time.

The VP of IT will be a key business partner and advisor to the senior management team and will ensure everything has high availability and is very scalable as they continue to grow.

This role will oversee the infrastructure team, network team, and helpdesk team and this individual must have experience owning these currently/previously in their career.

In this role, you will have 3 direct reports and about 15 total in the org currently.

Our client is looking for someone who has great soft skills, is highly technical (was previously hands-on), and is very strategic, as they will assess their current environment and help them plan for the future.

The ideal candidate will have experience driving metrics, and using data and analytics to optimize their help desk and ensure the users are supported across the company.

In this role, you will also own a budget, build a team as well as a technical roadmap to ensure IT is aligned with the business and can be highly scalable.

Qualifications

· 15+ years’ experience within Information Technology

· 5+ years in a senior leadership role over IT operations and infrastructure

· 5+ years of Architecture experience within IT operations and infrastructure

· Previous hands-on experience in the system/network space (this role will not be hands-on but will help with architecture, POC’s and emerging technologies)

· Experience working in mid-size environments

· Experience managing system teams, network teams, and help desk

· Experience leading transformations or modernizations

· Experience w/ Office 365 and Cloud technologies

· Experience w/ ticketing systems

· Experience with Windows and Linux

· Experience managing distributed networks

· Strong background with security best practices

· Experience hiring and leading highly technical IT professionals, and managing distributed teams in multiple offices

· Passion for tech and stay current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices.

Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.

· Any experience around Mergers and Acquisitions would be a big plus!

· Great soft skills, sense of humor and must be willing to travel to other offices from time to time.
