Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

The Architect, Clinical Information Systems will make recommendations and carry out the appropriate design, build and test to meet business requirements of healthcare teams utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Architect, Clinical Information Systems will facilitate the documentation and development of design options for complex clinical requirements and will collaborate with other team members to ensure that the content and flow of information is consistent and integrated throughout EHR and provides for seamless delivery of patient care.

The Architect, Clinical Information Systems must have basic understanding of regulatory requirements including but not limited to: TJC, HIPAA, and Title 22. 

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

• 5+ year’s design/build/test experience with the Cerner Millennium Clinical System within an acute care or outpatient health care setting preferred (2 years required).

• Experience with FSI, PowerChart, CPOE, Orders, Documentation, Meds Integration, Scheduling, RadNet, Surginet, PharmNet, PathNet, CCL reporting, PowerNotes, PowerPlans preferred.

• Experience designing software applications, within the healthcare environment, using one or more of the following preferred:

• ASP.NET/SQL Server

• PHP/MySQL/PostgreSQL

• HTML/CSS/JavaScript

• Angular/React/Bootstrap

• CMS such as Drupal

• Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS

• Project management experience preferred.

Children’s Hospital experience strongly preferred. 

Education/Licensure/Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

• Master’s degree preferred.
