We are looking for ALL LEVELS of Structured Cabling Technicians and Leads to join our growing team out of our Los Angeles / Orange County office or out of our San Diego office. DIVAD is an established company in both the LA and San Diego areas since 2014.
Pay scaled on experience and knowledge. May be placed on Prevailing Wage projects. (not guaranteed)
Responsible for installation of various types of cable plant including twisted pair, coaxial, stranded cable, single and multi-mode fiber optical cable. Installation includes placement, termination, grounding and bonding, testing, labeling and documentation.
Candidate will install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone & other cables (CAT5 – CAT6A, Fiber Optic Cabling (optional)).
Candidate will be capable of installing cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, j-hooks, d-rings) Installations will include dressing and routing of cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets.
All work will be accomplished in accordance with ANSI/EIA/TIA standards and national electrical code as well as national and state environmental, health and safety policy.
Candidate may also install displays, projectors, speakers, wireless access points, IP and security cameras, camera housings, computers, motion detectors, switches and routers (already configured), and other network devices.
Candidate will be required to exert heavy physical effort at times including carrying of loads up and down stairs and ladders.
Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
This job will on occasion require working from heights such as lifts, ladders, scaffolding and rooftops. Working environment may include exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical and other hazards typical to a cable plant installation.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year experience
Must be able to pass E-Verify and be able to work legally in the United States
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License
Must have reliable transportation with current auto insurance for transportation to and from customer sites
Must be proficient in the English Language and be able to communicate effectively
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and back-ground check (national level) and maintain throughout employment
Must understand that you may report to various project-sites around the Los Angeles, Orange, Inland Empire County areas depending on which office you will be dispatched out of. You are not reporting to a physical office
Must understand that in this industry the work is not guaranteed and working hours can vary
Must understand that in some instances, weekday and weekend work will be required and will be expected
