Structural Engineer – $1,500 Hiring Bonus

Akana, a Native American-owned multi-discipline consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of clients and projects throughout the United States, is seeking to add a Structural Engineer to our firm.

This position is full-time.

We are currently offering a $1,500 hiring bonus The ideal Structural Engineer will have a good understanding of code and environmental criteria and client requirements to ensure specifications and designs meet project goals.

The minimum required qualifications for this position are shown below: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SE focused preferred PE License, Oregon PE or SE preferred 5 years minimum in related experience Knowledgeable in Revit Knowledgeable in Risa 3D and Tedd’s analysis software Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and plans Experience in a client-facing role (including business development and client management) Excellent written and verbal communication skills General Responsibilities are: Independently apply standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusting and correlating data, performing calculations, and recognizing discrepancies in results.

Review plans, specifications and schematics to determine the preferred way to build new projects and repair existing infrastructure systems.

Participate in initial planning and bidding processes, including reviewing environmental factors, government regulations, constructions costs and risk analysis reports to prepare comprehensive study on all relevant design factors.

Implement design software to plan and design different systems and structures in line with overall standards.

Requires periodic project site visits to review existing structures and confirm construction progress.

Develop long term relationships with key clients.

5-10% travel time may be required.

The salary for this position is competitive and based on experience and education.

The salary range is $75,000 – $95,000 annually.
