In this vital role you will drive innovation in a highly-integrated tax provision landscape.

The Specialist IS Architect will be an integral member of an agile-focused operations team that will support and continuously improve ground breaking solutions for Amgens global Tax professionals.

Architect and build improvements and life cycle updates in custom-developed SQL-based technologies and SaaS solutions Utilize your advanced skills on Transact-SQL development for key high financial impact applications Build, maintain, and supervise service level agreements that list the agreed level of service in support of tax systems Define reporting needs using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and other ETL technologies such as Informatica Solution on key enterprise platforms and technologies such as Amazon S3, Databricks, Apache Airflow and AWS EC2 technologies to delivery business requirements Partner with system vendors and external partners to provide day-to-day support over the operations Supervise operational and performance statistics for systems to ensure reliability and availability and participate in production change controls Act as a point of contact in problem investigation and participate in reviewing business impacts, root causes, and implementation of recommended actions Determine system recovery strategy to support business requirements Own and maintain all design specifications and test protocols Work independently, function as a knowledge resource for other team members while providing oversight using best practices and change management discipline to improve systems and services Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our outstanding contributions to serve patients.

Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience OR Associates degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in client facing roles, being the responsible individual for stakeholder engagement with business leadership Have exhibited in the past team leadership qualities and maintaining a strong rapport with business community Skilled programming experience with SQL Server Always-On environments Experience with Visual Basic for Applications and integration with Excel Experience leading product teams in an agile operating model Understanding on financial business processes and transfer pricing; along with upstream and downstream integration from other financial applications such as Hyperion and SAP Strong service management mindset in delivering production support Highly analytical with attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment, optimally interacting with others and mentoring junior team members in geographically disbursed model Thrive Some of the vast rewards of working here As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
