In brief what the role looks like….
A Solutions Architect is responsible for evaluating an organization’s business needs and determining how IT can support those needs leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure.
Aligning IT strategy with business goals has become paramount, and a solutions architect can help determine, develop, and improve technical solutions in support of business goals.
A Solutions Architect also bridges communication between IT and business operations to ensure everyone is aligned in developing and implementing technical solutions for business problems.
The process requires regular feedback, adjustments, and problem-solving in order to properly design and implement potential solutions.
What will your job look like?
- Lead customers stakeholders to efficient solution, by observing the overall picture while maintaining a level of detail appropriate to the context.
- Become a long term Scope and Solution reference and trusted advisor in a big transformation program covering both internal and external stakeholders.
First point of contact for all consultation requests with technical teams.
- Identify requirements, assess capability gaps, and propose possible solution approach and/or new capabilities that the project, iteration or work effort should deliver.
- Ensure high business value based on product capabilities and best practices while ensuring proficient business value between business processes, technology,and people.
- Directly communicate with the customer on discovery sessions, solution presentations, solution defense/Q&A sessions.
- Demonstrate deep business and technology expertise
- Document project business requirements and obtain necessary approvals.Review and approve system requirements to ensure all system requirements are accounted for.
- Closely work with R&D team to unambiguously explain business expectations and translate them into contractual solution document (consisting of requirements and associated detailed use-cases).
- Build positive relationship with and maintain alignment between IT and business partner groups
- Collaborate with project/ line / solution manager/Team Lead on the planning and estimation of Business Analyst activities
All you need is…
- A degree in Computer Science with at least 10 years proficiency with the whole software development lifecycle
- At least 8 years of proven experience in Software Architecture and Solution Design
- Knowledge of the telecom industry and Amdocs business processes
- Knowledge or experience with internals of Amdocs BSS prepaid and postpaid Solution (Optima and Kenan FX), including optionally other portfolio products (e.g.
CatalogOne).
In-depth understanding of its functional architecture, capabilities, and limitations.
- Ability to leading e2e solution refinement process from considering an enterprise landscape with multiple components and complex integrations.
- Readiness to lead all kinds of online and offline sessions with the customer (solution discovery, verification, defense/Q&A, roadmaps presentations etc.), good English verbal skills.
- Ability to assimilate customer’s IT landscape, integrations, and key business processes and e2e products design.
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Experience with event processing distributed systems
- Knowledge or experience working with one of the public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, AZURE).
- Knowledge and experience with Linux.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile delivery principles and methodology.
- Passionate about engaging with new technologies.
- Being a proactive self-learner.
- Confident presentation and interpersonal skills.
