Find your future with us.The Boeing Space and Launch In-Space Vehicles Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join the Satellite Systems Team located in El Segundo, CA.

This candidate will be a part of a high-performing engineering team that is immersed in development and high Non-Recurring projects.

The candidate will perform structural analysis to meet mechanical system requirements and establish mechanical systems design for satellite product lines.  This role will include accountability for Satellite Structural Analysis across Government and Commercial Satellite Programs. Position Responsibilities Include:Lead development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system designCoordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environmentGuide product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performanceLead development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsDefine and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers or regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfiedSupport products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvementsDevelop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effortLead project planning and ensure execution on program commitmentsDevelop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effortLead development of emerging technologies/concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirementsWork under minimal directionThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.  An interim and/or final U.S.

Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry5+ years of experience working with stress analysis/structural analysis5+ years of experience performing stress analysis using both hand calculations and finite element tools1+ years of engineering and technical leadership experience in structures or stress engineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience leading teams including cross-functional teamsTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).
