ExemptStart: Aug 9, 2021 | Duration: 16 WeeksJob SummaryThe Instructional Design Architect III designs and develops innovative and engaging eLearning, Instructor Led Training (ILT) courses and applicable multimedia learning assets.

Serves as the subject matter expert for multimedia learning platforms, provides feedback and guidance to team members.

This position will meet with business owners to conduct needs analysis, create design documents and storyboards to outline course structure.DutiesDevelop and formalize multimedia learning asset management for all training units and develops long term plans and recommendations including budgetary/resource impact analysis.

Accountable for deploying cost effective, proactive processes and learning methods to achieve breakthrough improvements aligning return on investment.

Reviews project scope assigning priority and complexity to each project request.

Acts as a project lead on multimedia learning development projects.

Serves as a learning and development strategist and provide best practice methodologies to all learning initiatives across the organization.

Creates engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.

Acts as a level III Instructional Designer (ID) and is responsible for working with Project Managers (PM) to successfully develop training programs across all business units.

Designs, delivers, and/or coordinates training programs using different modalities; ILT, e
– learning, Web based, etc.

(Captivate, Articulate etc.).

Visualizes instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.

Recommends the appropriate instructional design methodologies on all training projects (ADDIE, SAM etc.).

Creates supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).

Coordinates the creation of digital and multimedia content (e.g.

website, blogs, podcasts) Develops and maintains training project plans for developed courses; reviews training routinely updating and revising, as needed.

Evaluates and monitors training participants’ results and provides participants and management with data and feedback relaying performance.

Communicates and coordinates with SME’s and Department trainers to assess training needs, design, and modify training.

Applies alternative training mediums and methods (self-study, online, blended, simulations, adaptive) to increase training effectiveness and to accommodate distance learning, learning style and cultural differences.

Decides on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.

Writes behavioral objectives, assessments, training methodology, and course materials.

States instructional end goals, creating content that matches them.

Conducts instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.

Manages databases and instructional hardware/software for documentation, testing, maintaining all training content including eLearning modules, scenarios, job aids and course materials.

Works closely with Learning Technologies Administrator.

Perform other duties as assigned.Education RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design or Related FieldIn lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.Education PreferredMaster’s DegreeExperienceRequired:Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering in-person and online training courses; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum of 5 years of advanced eLearning authoring experience (ex.

Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Final Cut Pro, or other eLearning authoring tools) Minimum of 5 years of advanced multimedia experience (ex.

Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Audacity or other media editing software) Experience in lesson and curriculum planning skills.

Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.

Knowledge and experience with eLearning tools and internet technology, including in-depth proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, SCORM, Adobe Captivate, or other rapid eLearning and video development software/tools is required.

Knowledge and experience with Adobe Flash.SkillsRequired:Skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives.

Outstanding, written, verbal and presentation skills.

Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.

Advanced eLearning authoring skills (ex.

Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Final Cut Pro, or other eLearning authoring tools).

Advanced multimedia skills (ex.

Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Audacity or other media editing software).

Coding and web frame development knowledge and skills preferred.Licenses/Certifications RequiredCertification in instructional design or performance consulting, or related Learning and Development discipline.
