The Secure Sensor Solutions (S3) Hardware Engineering organization is seeking an Electrical Engineering Fellow experienced in the development of GPS or other RF receivers.

This position in the Resilient Navigation (R-NAV) Department specializes in the product development of military GPS user equipment capable of maintaining accurate position, navigation and timing despite jamming and spoofing attempts.
We are responsible for the full scope of GPS Receiver product solutions, spanning architecture trades, frequency plan development, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment and associated integrated system verification solutions.
As the Engineering Fellow, you will research and develop highly advanced new hardware resulting in new business opportunities that directly impact program and product line results for the business.
You will provide technical direction and leadership on critical programs developing and manufacturing complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.
You will have the opportunity to architect the future of military GPS receivers that meet mission, cost and schedule goals.
You will collaborate with customers to develop solutions that address their needs and lead multi-disciplined design teams to drive mission success.
You will work closely with Systems Engineering to develop designs or upgrades based on specifications provided by our customers.

Raytheon engineering roles require a minimum Bachelor Degree in a STEM discipline, your MS is even better Required Skills: Minimum 12 years of experience designing and integrating mixed-signal (RF/Digital/Power) systems, subsystems and/or modules, particularly for military receiver applications like anti-jam GPS or radar Expertise in RF theory/applications, receiver and exciter technologies, RF subsystem architectures and analysis including development of frequency plans Comfortable with complex issues that span multiple domains of electrical, RF, digital and software Significant experience in the design, integration, test, characterization and troubleshooting of RF, digital and mixed signal circuits and systems in both a factory and lab setting Supplier collaboration and oversight experience authoring specifications and statements of work (SOW) Demonstrated success as a proactive technical leader and mentor able to define technical solutions and break them down into tasks team members can execute Experience with business development and technology road mapping including Experience with technical and cost proposal preparation Working knowledge of electronics packaging, materials and processes, and software Strong leadership skills and project management skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and influence other technical leaders A teaching posture and an educators approach to the workplace Desired Skills: Very strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills for with working with customers, program leadership, team members and communicating to executives 25 years of directly related experience in GPS hardware system requirements, design, analysis, development and test Ability to multi-task across multiple programs Experience with agile hardware development approaches Familiarity with DoD digital transformation strategy Knowledgeable of secure systems engineering Required Education: Bachelors Degree from an Accredited University with a major in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field Desired Education: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
