EPYC Post-Silicon Performance Architect The Server Performance team is looking for a senior level person that can help guide the team, mentor up and coming developers, provide long range strategy, and is willing to jump into issues to help get them resolved quickly.
You will be involved in all areas that impact the performance and power team including, performance modeling, microarchitecture performance characterization and change recommendation, performance optimization and recommendations for balancing power and performance optimizations.
You will be part of a growing team that is commissioned to optimize the performance of EPYC processors over an array of benchmarks and workloads.
Required Skills Familiarity with benchmarks used by the server industry Experience with X86 microarchitecture optimization and debug Knowledge of power management features and experience recommending what trade-offs should be made when considering power and performance efficiency Experience working with CPU performance measurement and modeling Strong debug skills applied to performance issues and tool failures A strong desire to learn new skills and understand new features as they are added to EPYC processors Proven track record of working within and across groups Strong communication skills Preferred Skills Ability to plan, organize, and direct technical projects Experience working in or with industry standards bodies Experience developing and modifying CPU performance models Experience working with people in other geographies and time zones Requisition Numbe r: 181122 Country: United States State: Texas City: Austin Job Function: Design Benefits offered are described here .
