Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Engineer Systems Architect – (OA) Operations Analysis to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be reporting out of Northrop Grumman’s South Bay Systems & Specialty Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE) located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Position Overview: The qualified applicant will support a diverse portfolio of research and technology development activities.

As part of your assignment, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine how survivability technologies can best be integrated into air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio.Northrop Grumman is one of the industry leaders in Stealth Technology.

As such, we are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) platforms.

We are currently looking for experienced Low Observable / Survivability Engineers to work on a variety of challenging projects.

One area where we are in need of talent is in support of Operational Analysis (OA).Essential Duties:Activities include supporting military threat modeling and performance assessments and system survivability analyses.Candidate will communicate across the engineering disciplines and technology areas to integrate capabilities, and communicate technical abilities and analysis with internal stakeholders and external customers.Candidate should expect a significant amount of travel in this position for extended periods of time.The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

DIVSEBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of engineering experience OR a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience, OR a PhD with 0 years of experience.A current active U.S.

Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).Experience with threat systems including radar, IR/EO/Acoustic, EA/EW systems, and low observables.Experience with survivability techniques, special technologies, and applications to platforms with the ability to identify and quantify effects of technologies to vehicles Preferred Qualifications:Experience in generating test plans, analysis plans, test execution, and data analysis.Ability to model and analyze in one or more of the following areas is required: EW/EA systems, radar sensor (to include early warning/surveillance, surface to air/air to air), threat system integration, and advanced sensors.Familiarity in writing scripts for post processing data and data parsing tailored for unique test needs.
