Mechanical Engineer Intern

The reliability and effectiveness of thousands of Aethercomm products has been tested and proven in combat, helping to protect and save the lives of our warfighters.Aethercomm is looking to fill a Mechanical Engineer Intern position.Scope: The purpose of this standard procedure is to establish and define the functional role, requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and measurements of performance of the Mechanical Engineer Intern at Aethercomm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Experience using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) in the creation of complex electromechanical models, fabrication drawings and assembly drawings.

Understanding of heat transfer and interested in its practical application particularly as it applies to electronics cooling.

Exposure to advanced manufacturing processes such as additive manufacturing and composite structures.

Communicate effectively using both oral and written communication during internal design reviews.

Perform tolerance analysis as required to ensure intended assembly performance.

Familiarity with GD&T and the ability to apply in the creation of fabrication drawings for mechanical parts IAW ANSI Y14.5M.

Attend meetings as needed and prepare planning information for other members of the company.

Ensure company compliance in accordance with AS9100.
