ROLEn n Xos is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver components for the commercial vehicle platform.
They will be responsible for creating 3D designs of various brackets, enclosures and other elements of vehicle integration.
Also determine material selection and create 2D drawings for fabrication.n n Responsibilitiesn Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing Design cooling systems, wire routing paths, brackets, enclosures, other mounting features Perform calculations for fluid flow, heat rejection, and assist with FEA/CFD simulations and other technical elements of vehicle and powertrain design n n Requirementsn 2+ years of relevant experience in an automotive, aerospace or industrial environment Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes and a variety of engineering materials including steel, fiberglass, and aluminum Must be fluent in 1 or more of the major 3D CAD programs (Catia experience a plus) Strong understanding of GD&T and best documentation practices Experience with or understanding of electric vehicles and batteries a plus n n Benefitsn Xos is on a mission to make fleets more efficient while lowering their carbon footprint.
