We are looking for an Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
This PI Mechanical Engineer will be a key contributor for product development across three factories and several unique product lines with an initial focus on our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based Thermox product line, where demand for these new Green Energy products has arisen.
Responsibilities include: The design, development, and testing of engineered systems.Electromechanical packaging of instrumentation in sheetmetal or casting enclosures and/or developing related sampling systems.Heat transfer and thermal design considerations for use in the harshest of environmental conditions.Design for manufacturability.Product safety and compliance standards for both North American and global markets.Ensuring that the quality and performance of our products meets our customer’s expectations.Additional responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements Strong organization, teaming, and collaboration skills are a must.
Engineering is a pivotal function within PI that must drive improvements in products, services, and processes to meet/exceed customer expectations and grow the business.
Education: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
An advanced degree in these fields, or Business, is a plus.
Recent graduates or experienced individuals working in an engineering/product development environment will be considered.
Knowledge of, or experience in the process control and automation, specifically in refining, gas processing, petrochemicals, power, etc.
is a plus Strong 3-D modeling and associated drawings in CAD (especially SolidWorks) is preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems is also a plus (especially Navision).
Fluent in the Microsoft Suite of Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, Teams, etc Based in our Pittsburgh, PA facility.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
