AAA USA is looking to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer in Mobile, AL.
Position Summary:Contribute to cabin and cargo engineering in all phases of aircraft development and product lifecycle, from prototype to final design.Essential Job Functions:Perform qualification of cabin or cargo parts according to applicable design requirements and Airbus proceduresAllocation of aircraft top-level requirements down to systems levelEvaluate and develop lightweight solutions to improve the aircraft performance.
Ability to perform weight optimization studies utilizing state of the art engineering methodsProvide design support, technical impact assessment, preparation of bottom-up design verification during full phase of aircraft development and delivery phasePreparation of engineering technical reports and presentationsCheck and validate correctness of engineering data on drawings and ensure the input quality related to aircraft Product Data Management systems to secure the guaranteed limits and aircraft performanceProvide engineering support to the Final Assembly Line, ensuring aircraft readiness for customer deliveryLead Digitalization improvements projects within engineering teams, develop efficient methods to automate engineering work and processesResponsible to develop project milestones and project manage tasks as assigned, communicating with various stakeholders to fulfill aircraft development schedulesIndependently coordinate with Airbus Suppliers in all phases of aircraft developmentPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Proficiency in Google Suites products requiredExperience in CATIA or PDM systemsGeneral purpose programming capability in Python or equivalentKnowledge of API’s and Web development is desired (Django/Flask/NodeJS or equivalent)Familiar with Systems Engineering and application of MBSE using SysMLAbility to utilize project management tools (Smartsheets, Zoho or equivalent)3 years Industry experience with relevant knowledge of product designBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering
