Performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance tasks including daily and routine tasks, and preventive maintenance checks.
Responsibilities: Performs preventative maintenance (PM) checks, maintains, and repairs all equipment necessary for production, including flex machines, impulse sealers, die presses, and vacuum formers.
Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facility equipment, such as plumbing, heating, water, and mechanical systems; does electrical maintenance and repair work.
Performs minor building construction and repair work.
Responsible for maintaining equipment stores to repair manufacturing equipment or replace components.
Keeps tools, equipment, and maintenance shop in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports.
Adhere to attendance requirements Operate within Product Work Instructions (PWI), Work Instructions (WI), and job safety requirements.
Complete forms and appropriate documentation in support of the Quality System.
Working knowledge of variable speed motor controllers and Instrumentation.
Must be able to maintain, install and trouble shoot them in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge and experience in Plant process control equipment and instrumentation.
Must be able to install and maintain sensors, timers, and other switches and devices connected to process control system.
Must be qualified to perform facility wiring and modification.
Knowledge of, switches, transformers, distribution panels etc.
and 480v 3Ph.
Ability to work at elevated heights utilizing a scissor lift.
Hold current Maryland State Electrical Master License.
Knowledge and Education: Thorough knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in the operation and repair of plumbing, heating, electrical, water, and mechanical systems.
Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the repair of mechanical equipment and in miscellaneous building maintenance and repair work and skill in the performance of such work.
Working knowledge of safety regulations dealing with heating, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, drawings, and specifications; ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the job; ability to estimate time and materials needed; ability to keep simple records; ability to follow procedural oral and written directions.

Two years of responsible experience in mechanical system repair; or any reasonable equivalent combination of training and experience as a maintenance mechanic that demonstrates achievement of a basic level skill.
High School Diploma or GED at minimum.
Skills and Abilities: Experience in mechanical system repair and troubleshooting.
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences; ability to communicate information and ideas orally or in writing so others will understand.
Ability to manage one’s own time and multi-task with various assignments and projects.
Identify complex problems, review related information and use logic to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Strong attention to detail Physical Requirements Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for the position.
The worker is typically subject to inside environmental conditions; however, work outside in all weather conditions is required.
The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to fast moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment with blades and high heat and exposure to chemicals.
Stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; considerable bending, pushing and pulling; standing for up to 8 hrs/ day.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance; ability to move up to 550 pounds on a cart.
