Intuit: Sr. Manager – Systems Architecture

OverviewCome join the Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) Systems Engineering Team as a Group Development Manager.

IDX is one of Intuits critical strategic capabilities enabling customers of various Intuit products (Turbo Tax, Mint, Quickbooks) manage their financial data and power prosperity around the world.

The Systems Engineering teams charter is to accelerate the adoption of modern platform capabilities, partner closely with the developer and infrastructure teams to create a vision for additional capabilities, standardize the foundational technical stack of IDX and significantly improve the developer productivity, operational excellence, availability and efficiency of the IDX platform.What you’ll bringBS/MS in Computer Science or related area, or equivalentwork experience10+ years experience as an established technical leader of backend engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.

Ability to create a vision for the platform and relentlessly drive towards ideal state in partnership with product management.

Adept at articulating the technology vision.Strong collaboration skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders and driving to alignment on technology direction.Strong technical skills with the ability to review architectures and design.

Provide inputs and be the key enabler of the right technical decisions for the product.Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 12-14 years of hands on software development experience in Java/Services and complex distributed systems.Very good understanding of software engineering practices and high velocity agile development.

Demonstrated experience leading a product with cross functional collaboration and global delivery.

Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholdersAdept in project management and working in a distributed global engineering ecosystem.Prior working experience in utility computing and/or cloud computing domain highly desiredExpertise in Kubernetes and AWS skills is preferableTeam/Leadership QualificationsTeam player possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skillsStrong mentoring skills.

Partner closely with Intuit Developer Platform teams and create a shared roadmap to build out capabilities that improve the Observability and Availability of Intuit.Create shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships / alignment with partners across the business (e.G.

Program Mgmt., Product Management and Quality Engineering).

Establish vision for the platform in close partnership with product leaders and actively collaborate with Intuit product teams to bring it to life.

Create and execute a product & technology roadmap for the platform.

Actively stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learningProvide technical leadership and be a role model to software engineers pursuing technical career path in engineeringProvide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a wholeCoach and mentor other engineers in process and methodologiesProvide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent proposals and engineering process improvements
