Job Summary
The Sr.

Director, Infrastructure Services is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership and guidance in developing and coordinating all cloud infrastructure & operations strategies and solutions.

This senior leader is also responsible for coordinating with architecture peers from our software development and information security teams to ensure that quality, efficiency, agility, and security goals are achieved.

As a member of the technology leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the Infrastructure & Operations strategy, ensuring its alignment with the enterprise’s technology needs and business strategy, and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business goals.

DISTINCTION: This position is for a (Senior) Director of Infrastructure with a focus on cloud engineering and operations.

This senior leadership role is expected to proficient in in cloud engineering and operations concepts including, but not limited to, cloud governance, deployment patterns, provisioning, administration, tagging and management, infrastructure as code, compute, security group management and platform capabilities.
Job Description

Leadership: Oversee Infrastructure/Platform Services function by leading a team of associates.

Build organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensures associates realize their highest potential.

Develop and communicate organizational objectives; inspire and motivate team members to achieve results. Create and execute tactical plan for the cloud engineering and operations teams.

Partner with strategic vendors in the realization of our strategy.

Participate/drive managing incidents and problem resolution, capacity planning/management, and availability management in partnership with key stakeholders.

Develop and execute operational and capital budgets for the function.

Technology: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current trends and developments and provide guidance and counsel to IT&O senior management and business groups on cloud infrastructure and platform technologies and issues to build better solutions that support and drive business decisions.

Lead transformational infrastructure project implementations, ensuring engineers fully leverage the technology for future solutions and designs.

Make technical decisions and work closely with cross functional business areas and IT groups.

Reports to: VP, Information Technology

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment, some travel may be required

Direct Reports: Leads a team of both direct (3-6) and non-direct (20-50) reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Fifteen or more with design, integration, and deployment of three or more of the following: implementation of Windows, Linux/Unix, Directory Services, Virtualization, Storage & Backup, and Cloud technologies.

Five or more years managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service or Platform-as-a-Service, and server-less cloud technologies. 

Twelve or more years of experience full network stack (WAN/LAN, network segmentation, Firewall, DNS, DHCP).

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field:

Fifteen or more with design, integration, and deployment of three or more of the following: implementation of Windows, Linux/Unix, Directory Services, Virtualization, Storage & Backup, and Cloud technologies.

Five or more years managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service or Platform-as-a-Service, and server-less cloud technologies.
