The Data Analytics, Storage, and Databases Developer Relations Engineer (DRE) teams are part of the Engineering team within the Developer Relations (DevRel) organization. We are responsible for crafting the developer experience for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) developers in the Data Analytics space, including BigQuery, Bigtable, and others. We produce open source client libraries, code samples, tutorials, and other developer-focused artifacts to help external developers be successful on GCP, and engage with product engineering teams to help them understand the developer experience as a critical part of the platform. We support hundreds of APIs across 8 languages, and provide the first interaction many developers will have with Google’s platform. Our goal is to provide delightful language idiomatic experiences to developers across the world.
As a Developer Programs Engineer (DPE) on the Google Cloud Libraries and Information Experience (CLiX) team, you will focus on long term support for handwritten client libraries (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, others). You’ll write sample code, tools, and features for client libraries, and work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs, and testing new features. Your work will focus on Java libraries.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing Java client libraries to comply with Long Term Support (LTS) requirements (backport security fixes, monitor customer issues).
- Build idiomatic SDKs/client libraries, samples, and other developer tools in Java to improve the developer experience of using Google s platforms and APIs.
- Partner with product-aligned engineering teams to understand and improve the developer experience of our Google Cloud BigQuery and Pub/Sub client libraries.
- Assist third party developers in troubleshooting their integrations with Google APIs and use of other Google developer products.
- Improve automation efforts to support our own improved developer experience.
Job Description:
Experience with cloud Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect
• Have a good working Experience on different cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
• Understands the Cloud Assessment methodology & Cloud Migration Framework, tools
• Good assessment & analysis skills to be able to map the collected cloud attributes to the decision tree rules for cloud suitability, cloud migration patterns etc.
• Be able to define a target landing platform architecture & design
• Be able to independently assess different cloud attributes and determine the relevant target state for migration.
• Very good knowledge of the cloud migration patterns like Re-host, Re-platform, Re-factor and be able to apply the relevant pattern based on client responses to cloud questionnaire
• Explain & effectively communicate the target state, architecture & topology on cloud to clients
• Deep experience in at least one of these – infrastructure architecture, web application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture and excellent understanding in other cloud native solutions.
• Good understanding of the networking aspects on cloud, defining network security groups, policies, configuring load balancers, application gateways

Desired Candidate Profile:
Min 3 + years of experience on GCP / AWS / Azure As Architect
• A technical graduate (BCA/MCA/B.Tech/M.Tech) with 8 to 12 Years of IT experience.
• Expertise in Design/operations and maintenance of public/private cloud infrastructure, migration of services from on-prem to cloud or to other enterprise data centers. should be results-oriented with broad IT network security experience to meet the challenging business needs in a global environment.
• Solid understanding of cloud services like Azure/AWS/GCP, native controls, security center, DDOS protection, cloud firewalls, CASB, express route, cloud data storage, cloud storage, Kubernetes, data sharing related technologies, NetApp, Site recovery, CDN, MS defender, MS Sentinel, AWS EC2, AWS Guard, AWS KMS, Cloud Watch, Lambda, cloud containers, etc.
• Cloud migration and cloud consulting Primary experience required are on Amazon Web Services(AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), MS Azure Architecture as secondary.
• Knowledge in multi and hybrid cloud design and maintenance.
• Scripting and automation skills: JSON, Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Certifications like Azure and AWS architects, network professional, Cisco/Palo Alto, ZScaler, etc., and Network & Security Certifications like CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, etc.
