Enterprise Architect I, II, Senior

Overview: Reports To: Manager, Enterprise Architect Primary Functions: Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts and models that will guide decision-makers to make more informed, effective, and impactful business and technology investment decisions through strategies, roadmaps and standards for domains and products across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities: Understanding the long-term (“big picture strategist”) and short-term (“small picture tactician”) perspectives of situations Building and maintaining relationships with organizational stakeholders by leveraging consultative methods Providing actionable recommendations about investment decisions, using technology to make that change happen Leading and facilitating discussions about the risks and implications of product decisions across the enterprise Translating business architecture and processes into technological decisions to support Product Management teams Leveraging knowledge of business, operating, and financial models and frameworks Creative problem-solving around product / domain-specific challenges, while thinking about the effects on the rest of the organization Understanding, connecting and articulating technology implications of business goals and vice-versa Demonstrating leadership qualities, self-motivation and ability to work in a collaborative team environment while navigating the political landscape Facilitating difficult conversations, having a holistic and empathetic mindset, bringing concepts to life through presentations, showcasing excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Developing to-be architectures as part of curating a domain’s artifacts Developing architectural and technical standards Developing transition architecture to guide migration between as-is and to-be architectures Creating roadmaps and strategies for long-term planning Leading discussions with vendors, value added resellers (VARs), and other 3rd parties Serving as a visionary in the field of the enterprise architecture discipline Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management, Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent in technical training and/or work experience.

Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Fundamentals; exposure to Enterprise Architecture software tools desired.

Management/technology consulting experience.

Experience/Skills: Ten years progressive experience working closely with Information Management or related fields with at least 3 of those spent in an EA role and with at least two years in a senior role.

Modifying certified EA frameworks to make it practical for the organizational needs.

Banking or Credit Union environment industry experience.

Familiarity with Agile process development and Product Management methodologies.

Intermediate to expert experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel (charting, graphing, pivot tables), Microsoft Visio (process flow diagrams), Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Share Point.

Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Fundamentals; exposure to Enterprise Architecture software tools desired.

Tenure: Assignment to the Enterprise Architect I category 08, Enterprise Architect II category 07 or Senior Enterprise Architect category 06 will be determined by the candidate’s education or experience.

Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate’s certifications and/or performance.
