Xos is looking for an Electro Mechanical Engineer with designing electronic circuits with off the shelf components such as relays, contactors, controllers, terminal blocks, etc., and the wire harness to go with them.

As a Electro Mechanical Engineer, you will help develop and commercialize electric trucks battery packs.
Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.n nAbility to designed circuits will be used to drive prototypes or to test them and specify safety features such as fuses, breakers, heat switches, etc.
Needs to be able to specify ampacity, proper wire for application, etc.n Design electrical systems such as cell arrays, terminals, bus bars, harnesses Design test system electrical schematics Select appropriate conductor sizes for the ampacity Use best practices to document work Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing n n Requirementsn 2+ years of experience with a Bachelors or equivalent work experience in an automotive, aerospace, or industrial environment Understanding of fundamental physics, such as F=MA, V=IR, etc.
dimensional analysis and the ability to apply this to attack unfamiliar problems Knowledge of relevant electrical and mechanical components such as fuses, contactors, connectors, etc.
Must be fluent in 1 or more of the major 3D CAD programs (Catia experience a plus) Strong understanding of GD&T and best documentation practices Experience with or understanding of electric vehicles and batteries a plus Experience working in a PLM system a plus n n Benefitsn Xos is on a mission to make fleets more efficient while lowering their carbon footprint.
