Electrical Engineering Patent Counsel

The candidate will assist with the procurement of US and foreign patent protection for innovative technologies, evaluate the designs of new products, and assist with the evaluation of competitor products. Will drill in depth into a specific technology, learn to identify inventive features, learn to describe the inventions, and learn to convince the Patent Office to grant a patent for that technology. Review new client technologies to determine potentially patentable features. Write patent applications with clarity and technical accuracy. Prosecute patent applications with US, international, and foreign national patent authorities. Review issued patents. B.S. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is required. An advanced degree, such as M.S. or Ph.D., is preferred. State Bar license is required. Must already be registered with the USPTO or participate in a patent law course and become registered with the USPTO within one year of hire.
