Job Description:We are seeking a talented RF design engineer with a solid understanding of communications systems, with an emphasis on RF and microwave designs.Responsible for RF and High frequency/microwave detailed design and development, including: module level design and definition, schematic capture, circuit design, derating and Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Design Verification Testing (DVT).Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for IDR/PDR/CDR.Familiarity with estimating task schedules and budgets (BOEs) for programs, proposals and IR&D efforts.Support internal peer design reviews, design verification testing of engineering unit and oversight of design through production.Qualifications:BS degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of prior relevant experience OR a MSEE degree with at least 2 years of prior relevant experience.Direct RF and microwave design experience.RF simulation experience with any of the following tools: ADS, PSPICE, MWO, SystemVue, MATLAB, OrCAD, micro-cap.Preferred Additional Skills:Preference will be given to candidates with aerospace industry experience.Familiarity with transmitter and receiver architecture design is a must.Transmitter design: gain distribution, linearity, modulation formats (PM, BPSK, QPSK), synthesizer architecture, and EVM performance.Receiver front end design: Noise figure, dynamic range, acquisition and tracking threshold, and BER performance.Bench level troubleshooting and test equipment experience.Good understanding of analog and IC circuit design is preferred.
