Description: About this position: This position is in the MAP WELD Engineering group and they are responsible to implement improvements to robotic systems and improve overall product Quality.
Lead development of Robot programs for New Model/Equipment change or any hardware changes using off-line teaching methods.
Supports New Model development and process capability studies involving robotics (process analysis, new model, weld/sealing distribution management, in-depth cycle time analysis, etc.).
Performs robotic programming on-site for touch up accuracy up and off line (3D CAD robotic simulation, off-line path creation, process capability confirmation, on-site introduction and maturation of robotic programs).
Also to support associate development for off-line teaching Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Implement improvements to robotic systems (Spot/MIG Welding, Material Handling, Sealer/) and improve overall product Quality
• Evaluate efficiency of Robot Programs/Cycle Times
• Modify existing robot programs to accommodate new models
• Support installation, programming, and maturation of new robot systems
• Support recovery from downtime in any assigned zone within the department as needed
• Troubleshoot Robot concerns and make program adjustments and improvements as necessary
• Effectively program robots to New model Specifications and program robots as required to ensure a successful launch
• Evaluate and improve mass production delivery of Weld applications and implement improvements to improve delivery pass rates
• Plan and report daily activity to support Safe and High Quality production of our products
• Support individual and department projects
