The Credit Approval & Administration team provides education, guidance, and best practices related to First Republic’s credit culture and policy.

Our team includes members of the Executive Loan Committee and Credit Administration who approve and monitor loans in accordance with our credit culture and policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

The solution architect is responsible for the design of applications and services within Credit.

The ideal candidate will have a balanced mix of technical and business skills and will work with Credit, Business Banking, Eagle Lending, and Lending Technology for strategic direction.

The primary focus of the role is ensuring that technical decisions positively impact business outcomes.
 
This role requires outstanding people and process skills.

You must be adept at explaining complex problems in laymen’s terms and tailoring your communication for your audience.

Your priority will be understanding and conveying the business’ processes to create a cohesive vision of a usable business solution.

What you’ll do as a Business Solutions Architect:

– Develop and maintain business process and technology inventory for Credit.

– Analyze current technologies used within the organization and identify redundancies, gaps and/or risks.

– Develop roadmaps for business owned technology.

– Maintain awareness of technologies used throughout First Republic Bank to identify potential for re-use. 

– Work closely with technology partners and vendors to ensure business solutions are meeting the needs of the business.

– Propose and establish framework to capture input from partners and stakeholders for each business-owned solution.

– Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor requirements, system design, and progress of initiatives.

– Identify and communicate risks and issues on active projects.

– Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions.

Qualifications

You could be a great fit if you have:

– 5+ years of Commercial Lending/Credit domain experience. 

– 10+ years prior experience in DevOps, business analysis, project, and product management.

– 5+ years of leadership experience.

– Systems analysis and process design experience with ability to write requirements/user stories, develop use cases, process flows, and test scripts.

Agile experience preferred.

– Outstanding communication skills, effective in a variety of settings both formal and informal. 

– Comfortable leading and gaining consensus and support from a team.

– High proficiency with MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint and common project analysis and presentation tools.

– Demonstrated eagerness to improve process while maintaining flexibility and complying with standards.

– Familiarity with First Republic Bank culture and structure is a plus.

Job Demands:
