Business Intelligence Architect – AWS

Overview
The Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for analyzing and articulating business requirements and architect business intelligence data  assets and analytics capabilities to support business requirements.

Research and implement innovative approaches to increase efficiency of Development and of the data warehouse to support business and operational needs

Responsibilities
 
Definition and development of global architecture through research and implementation of innovative approaches to increase efficiency of development and while removing duplication of effort.

Hands on approach to architect, develop and implement end to end to meet BI customer needs.

Identify trends in existing and future work for potential use of common components.

Research and recommend tools to assist in the improvement of performance, data quality, and productivity .

Primary technical contact for ETL and data movement activities.

Identify, recommend and implement ETL process and architecture improvements.

Assist in estimation, impact assessment and implementation planning.

Understanding and providing guidance in improving how the overall landscape(data, technology, infrastructure) impacts BI .

Perform an active , leading role in shaping and enhancing overall architecture and data movement capabilities in BI
 

Qualifications
Education: 
Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical field required .

Experience:
8 years experience in a highly critical Operational Data Warehouse environment working to develop and apply effective for major DataWarehouse applications required.

At least 2-3 years experience as an ETL/ BI Architect
Experience with Informatica or equivalent ETL tool
Knowledge of databases and SQL required, preferably Microsoft SQL server.

Experience in the use of massively parallel processing appliances such as Microsoft APS is a plus.

Experience with dashboard/analytics tools such as Qlik sense is a plus.

Experienced with Multidimensional design and database structures in Data Warehouse .

Experience with mentoring less experienced members of staff to provide growth and development
Knowledge of leading practices within complex data warehouse environments required.

3-5 years working in AWS using DMS, Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, and other AWS tools preferred.

 
A compensation range of $84,760
– $135,636 is the reasonable estimate that CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
