Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Engineering Product Support Function is seeking Systems Engineer 5: Business Architect to help lead our team virtually located across multiple Boeing sites.

The candidate will map and manage the relationships between engineering business processes and IT applications as they relate to BGS Engineering.

This position will partner with subject matter experts to establish and refine the business architecture for Product Support in order to support the Digital Transformation of PLM and Model Based Engineering initiatives.

This position will primarily be virtual with most US locations acceptable.

Position Responsibilities:Lead a team of business and enterprise architects in the Product Support engineering function to meet the needs of the Boeing Digital Transformation and Model Based Engineering initiativesEstablish and grow that team in providing enterprise and business architecture services to the Product Support engineering function and BGS EngineeringEngage with subject matter experts across the elements of product support to elicit business architecture and solution architecture needs for Product SupportAuthor Business Capability Requirements & Objectives (BCROs) for each element of Product Support that are stated against Business Capabilities.Decompose the BCROs into Solution Requirements & Objectives (SLROs) thatdefine what the processes, tools and data must do to realize each required capability.Refine the Value Stream, Business Process and Information Product architecture for Product SupportSupport the integration of BGS Engineering processes and applications across various Product Support elements.Document Information Products (engineering artifacts) as the inputs and outputs of our business processes as they connect between engineering sub-functions and to other business functions such as supply chain and manufacturing/MRO.Capture, normalize, model and manage configurations of the BGS Engineering Business and Application Architectures, includingBGS Engineering value streams to deliver products and servicesTeam with IT Architects and BGS Engineering application managers toCapture, model and manage the IT Application Architecture that supports BGS Engineering business.Map elements of BGS Engineering business architecture to elements of the IT ArchitectureIdentify current Product Support applications that need to be recognized as part of the Digital Enterprise future state along with necessary integrations.Ability to perform the roles of Team Member, Scrum Master, or Product Owner as the need arises in various projects.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline is required.Experience authoring or managing requirements.Knowledge of and experience with Architectural frameworks covering Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture or IT Architecture.

Examples include:The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF),The Business Architecture Guild Body of KnowledgeUnified Architecture Framework (UAF)Boeing Architecture Method(s)Experience with CAMEO, ARIS, or other architecture modeling toolsUnderstanding of Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Object Oriented analysis practicesUnderstanding of and experience with agile project management methods.Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework for enterprise (SAFe) methods Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Ability to understand abstract frameworks and methods, but apply with concrete cases and examplesAbility to communicate with different stakeholders with broad range of understanding and learning styles.Ability to actively listen and reflect back captured understanding.Ability to facilitate a group of people through a workshop to achieve desired objectives and outcomes.Visual design skillsCommitment to treat others respectfully with dignityAbility to enjoy and team up through an ambiguous enterprise journey and help clarify paths to various business enlightenments.

Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.G.

Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
