The Creative Director of Performance Marketing will report directly to the Global Head of Creative and work closely with the digital creative and media buying teams to create ads and lead creative teams responsible for driving customer acquisition on various digital channels, including Google Display Network, Taboola, Outbrain, Facebook, Instagram, Search, Landing Pages, etc. The Creative Director must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to think strategically about what drives interest and conversion. The Creative Director must be able to effectively lead several teams of more junior level creatives, which will require him or her to translate feedback into creative assets that prioritize marketing goals while maintaining the brand voice and tone. Must thrive under pressure of a fast-paced environment and changing demands. This role will allow the Creative Director ample creative freedom to explore strategies and executions.

As Creative Director of Performance at Honey, you will:

  • Collaborate with media buyers in the planning of digital assets, conceptualizing, and creating performance marketing ads that drive prospective users to click and convert on our ads
  • Work closely with designers to strategically think about business problems and create strong copy-led ads that effectively communicate the message and goal required by the marketing team
  • Work with media buying team to leverage data and learnings to optimize creative strategy and messaging
  • Creative direct and career manage several creative performance teams.
  • Generate ideas that impact the company’s ability to convert members
  • Be curious and consistently look for new ways to communicate with our audience

About You:

  • 5-12 years of relevant experience in a performance marketing environment
  • Portfolio displaying strong digital copywriting skills
  • 3+ years of managing creatives
  • Must be knowledgeable in best practices of various digital platforms
  • Have a passion for writing, crafting headlines and copywriting that drives user action
  • Bonus for skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and/or Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of project management software (such as Asana) a plus
  • Experience working with media buyers and product managers
  • Must have a self-motivated mindset with the ability to research and understand user behavior and psychology
  • Conceptual thinker with strategic sensibilities and eye around performance and conversions
  • Work collaboratively in an environment that values innovation, flexibility, and creativity
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solver with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Detail oriented, responsible, and accountable for projects and timelines
