Sr. UX/UI Designer

Vegamour is a fast growing, hair wellness company focused on the restoration of hair via safe, effective, plant-based formulas. Hair loss is a sensitive subject, and it shouldn’t be. We aim to restore by taking concerns head on with a 360 approach to hair wellness. How our products are made is as important as what they do so we take pride in a completely cruelty-free process. We also Fair Trade source our sustainably harvested natural ingredients from female-owned enterprises so we can better ourselves and better our world – together.

We are looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to help conceive, wireframe, design, and implement all of our site initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of UX, with a focus on conversion rate optimization, as well as the highest level of craft for UI design, creating beautiful, modern experiences for both web and mobile app environments. As the UX/UI Designer you will work closely with the Head of Digital Product, VP of Digital Content, as well as the brand, creative, retention and growth teams to develop experiences that support business growth and exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept, design and manage various product design initiatives, including on-site and landing page experiences
  • Design desktop and mobile web experiences that maximize conversion rates, subscription retention and provides delightful user experiences.
  • Define, test, and spec new site architecture and navigation for our growing product lines
  • Strategize, design and run A/B tests that can have positive impact on conversation rate and user engagement
  • Develop landing page experiences that positively impact new customer acquisition
  • Own features and experiences from initial concept through testing and launch, ensuring that implementation matches design specifications
  • Integrating user data and web analytics to create, communicate, and test customer journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interaction flows, motion and transitions, and visual design

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field
  • 4+ years of experience as a user experience designer
  • A strong eye for visual design – visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color choice. Marketing or eCommerce design experience is a plus
  • Deep experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), plus experience with modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and/or Axure. Familiarity with InVision or Zeplin a plus
  • Front-end coding experience is a plus, but not required
  • Professional portfolio that demonstrates your UX capabilities, creativity, and problem-solving. Specific focus on e-commerce is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with little to no supervision.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills

We are currently working remotely, but do plan on returning at least part-time to our offices in Downtown Los Angeles when it is safe and responsible to do so.
